COMMERCIAL AND CORPORATE LAW

Commercial Law is a branch of law that regulates commercial transactions and commercial relations. The general provisions of Commercial Law are regulated in Articles 1-123 of the Turkish Commercial Code. Topics such as commercial enterprises, trade names, merchants and the consequences of being a merchant, trade registry, trade contracts, commercial representation, unfair competition, merchant assistants, and resolution of commercial disputes are regulated in this section.

Company Law, as a sub-branch of Commercial Law, is regulated between Articles 124-644 of the TCC. Topics such as the establishment, operation, termination, types of companies, company contracts, company organs, company management, company members, company creditors, company mergers, divisions, transfers, changes in type, and liquidation of commercial companies are regulated in this section.
